In such a situation, we are going to tell you about one such serious disease.

Which is known as aplastic anemia in medical language. In many cases, this disease is more dangerous than cancer and can prove fatal if careless. Generally, this disease can occur in young children up to 25 years of age or it can also occur in the elderly.

What is Aplastic Anemia

Aplastic anemia is a rare and serious problem in which the cells of the bone marrow that are about to become mature are destroyed. Due to this, the number of red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (RBC) and platelets starts decreasing continuously in the body. Due to lack of blood cells in the body, there can be internal blood leakage in the body which can cause failure of any organ like heart, kidney, liver etc. Due to lack of blood cells in the body, the human immunity becomes very weak and the body becomes unable to fight diseases.

What is Bone Marrow

Bone marrow is actually a substance found in the bones of our body which is found in the tunnel between the bones. This is the place where blood is produced in the body. Bone marrow is also called bone marrow. Aplastic anemia arises due to damage to the bone marrow.

What causes aplastic anemia

Experts do not know all the reasons due to which aplastic anemia occurs. But according to some research, medical conditions, inherited conditions, complex medical treatment and excessive consumption of allopathy can cause this disease. Usually this happens when our body’s immune system attacks our body’s bone marrow.

Symptoms

  • Frequent infections
  • Getting tired quickly even after doing light work
  • Having trouble breathing
  • Skin yellowing and skin rashes
  • Dizziness
  • Having a headache
  • Frequent fever

Treatment

Treatment of aplastic anemia is possible in many ways, including bone marrow, stimulating drugs, bone marrow transplant, also known as bone marrow transplant. Its treatment includes medicines like antithymocyte globulin injection, cyclosporine, which helps in stopping the attack by the immune system. However, according to some medical experts, complete treatment of this disease is possible only through bone marrow transplant. As soon as the disease is detected, doctors start preparations for bone marrow transplant.

Complications in treatment

  • Graft vs. host issues that may arise during allogeneic transplant
  • Immunosuppressive drugs can increase the risk of infection, which can even lead to death.
  • The risk of organ failure increases due to weakening of immunity during chemo.

Prevention

There is no known way to prevent aplastic anemia yet.
